Purchase and download information

We store your purchased product, version, price, PayPal order/capture references, purchase email, payment date, update deadline and checkout consent record to fulfil and support your purchase. Access codes and queued email/webhook contents are encrypted on the server; code lookup and session identifiers use keyed hashes. Purchase email and order information are stored in the private purchase database.

We use that information to perform the purchase agreement, provide downloads and necessary updates, resolve issues and meet applicable bookkeeping obligations. Keep codes private. We do not request your PayPal password or handle card details.

Payment and email providers

PayPal processes payment on its own website and sends verified payment information to us. Resend processes the purchase email and code to deliver your confirmation and requested recovery messages. These providers may process data outside the EEA under their applicable safeguards. See PayPal privacy and Resend privacy.

Essential cookies and security

Checkout uses an essential cookie lasting up to two hours to connect your returning browser to the purchase. Customer access uses an essential, HTTP-only cookie lasting up to 30 minutes. Your cookie choice is stored for six months. Short-lived server rate limits use IP addresses to protect the purchase and download routes.

Operational web-server logs may contain IP addresses and request paths. Deployment defaults omit URL query strings so codes and signed download tickets are not written to access logs. Retention should be limited to the operational need.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is off unless you allow it. It stays off on checkout, purchase confirmation and download pages even with permission. We omit query strings from analytics page addresses and do not send purchase emails, access codes or order references as analytics events.

Change your preference with Cookie settings. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics loading and removes first-party analytics cookies where possible; Google may retain previously collected data under its policy. See Google privacy.

Retention and your rights

Purchase and entitlement records are retained while needed for your perpetual purchased-version access and support. Tax and transaction records are kept for the applicable statutory period. Operational records and backups should be limited to their purpose. We do not use purchase emails for marketing.

Contact the seller to request access, correction, deletion where applicable, restriction, portability or to object. Required transaction and entitlement records may need to remain; unnecessary personal data can be removed. You may complain to the relevant data protection authority.
